Playing in the Super Bowl is undoubtedly a massive honor. Yet, so too is officiating NFL’s biggest game. So, what are referees paid for their efforts ?

The NFL has revealed the officiating crew for Super Bowl 60 next month, and football fans are asking for one man.

The NFL does not release the exact salaries of referees and officials. The latest Collective Bargaining Agreement suggested the average NFL referee earns approximately $205,000 per season. Assuming they are selected for a game per week, that would average out to $11,400 per regular-season game.

The fans just want consistency. NFL referees are seemingly incapable of providing that, though.
